Review Policy

Review Policy for Books: I have written and published book reviews for Quill & Quire, Worn Journal, and other publications as well as for this blog.  I read a wide spectrum of fiction and non-fiction books including books on history, art, fashion and sociology. I welcome your inquiries if you wish me to review your book but acceptance of your book for review does not guarantee that a favourable review on my blog. Although I prefer finished copies, I will accept ARCs and galley formats as well, though I am not currently accepting any e-books or pdfs.

Review Policy for Exhibitions: I have had press access to review art and fashion exhibitions around the world, including Paris, London, New York, San Francisco and Toronto. I am particularly interested in those exhibitions that intersect with fashion, art or history.  I write critical reviews of exhibitions that are  balanced in perspective.

Review Policy for Other Fashion or Culture-related Events:  I have written reviews of fashion shows, art happenings, opera and ballet performances. Because I have a broad spectrum of contacts and experience in the arts, I can offer a fresh perspective on such events.

Author and Designer Profiles: I regularly conduct interviews for research and other purposes. I have had profiles published in various journals and included in museum archives. I am happy to consider an interview of authors, artists, curators and designers if I feel it is appropriate for my blog or other journals that I write for.

Contacting Fashion is my Muse: If you are a publicist with a book or exhibition or event that you’d like me to consider for review, please e-mail me at fashionismymuse@gmail.com or ingridmida@rogers.com.
